Steve Laukhuf is a third-generation Texan who grew up on a ranch outside of Holiday, Texas, where hard work and wide-open skies shaped his early years. His career began in radio in 1983 as an intern in his hometown of Wichita Falls, launching what would become more than four decades in the broadcasting industry.

From Wichita Falls, Laukhuf’s path carried him across Texas and beyond, working in San Antonio, Waco, and even a brief stop in Lake Charles, Louisiana, before returning to multiple postings throughout Texas. Over the years, he built experience in sales, on-air talent, station management, and ownership, along with time in television and publishing.

He later founded his own agency, One Voice Communications, continuing to leave his mark on the advertising industry. Steve has earned numerous advertising industry awards and community recognitions and has been featured in several national trade publications.

Committed to giving back, Laukhuf has serves and supports organizations including the Taylor of Commerce Board of Directors, YMCA of Central Texas, Armed Services YMCA Killeen, the Rockdale Fair and Rodeo Board, Rodeo Austin, Rodeo Killeen, and the Williamson County Fair & Rodeo. Steve recently appointed to the Texas Association of Broadcasters Board of Director.

While raising Longhorn cattle on his Double S Ranch, the quiet ranch life stirred a desire to reengage with broadcasting. That calling led him to purchase the Rockdale radio station, originally founded in 1989 by Charlie McGregor. The studio's relocated in the historic McCroy Timmerman Building at the corner of Main and 2nd Street in downtown Taylor.

As Laukhuf put it:
“When I started in radio it was a fun locally focused Media, where folks tuned in for all things local.  I want to bring that back to Central Texas..”
